Yui Kawamoto (27, RICOH), who claimed her first major victory at the World Salonpas Cup in the domestic women’s tour, updated her Instagram as of the 11th, sharing her feelings after the tournament.
Kawamoto finished the event at 1-over-par 289, securing her fifth career tour win and first since the Stanley Ladies Honda in October of last year. She posted a smiling photo holding the trophy, along with the message: “I was able to win a major.”
“Playing under such a difficult setup, staying true to my heart and believing in myself—winning like this gives me great confidence!” she wrote enthusiastically. She added, “The season is still going on! I’ll keep preparing to deliver many more great performances.” Finally, she thanked her fans: “Thank you for all the support this week. Your cheers give me strength.”
