FC Dallas aims to secure consecutive victories at home for only the second time this season when they host Real Salt Lake on Saturday in a Western Conference clash at Frisco, Texas.

The Toros (4-3-4, 16 points) return home after a 2-0 road victory over the New York Red Bulls on May 2, ending a four-match winless streak and snapping an 11-game road run without a win against the Red Bulls in all competitions (0-9-2).

Petar Musa scored his MLS co-leading 10th goal of the season in the 54th minute, while Samuel Sarver added a header in the 88th minute off an assist from Logan Farrington. Goalkeeper Michael Collodi earned the clean sheet without facing a single shot.

Musa, tied with Chicago’s Hugo Cuypers atop the Golden Boot standings, emphasized that team success matters more than individual accolades.

“I always focus on the team,” Musa said this week. “I want to help with goals and help out defensively. Getting three points is the most important thing.”

Salt Lake (6-3-1, 19 points) travels to the Dallas-Fort Worth area after a 2-0 home win over Portland on May 2, which RSL coach Pablo Mastroeni called his team’s “most complete performance” of the season.

Zavier Gozo and Diego Luna scored in the first half for the Claret and Cobalt, snapping a two-game losing streak. Juan Manuel Sanabria recorded two assists, and Sergi Solans also contributed a helper.

Defender Justen Glad’s availability for Saturday’s match remains uncertain, according to Mastroeni. Glad left the Portland game due to a nagging adductor injury.

“It’s gonna be really touch and go with him,” Mastroeni said, “but he pulled himself early. He didn’t pull (a muscle). Showed some good leadership and some good experience in that moment to avoid any big-time problems.”

Solans leads RSL with five goals this season, while Gozo, Sanabria, and Morgan Guilavogui each have four assists.

Dallas has won 14 of 24 all-time home meetings against RSL, with eight draws. Salt Lake has earned points in seven of their past eight visits to North Texas, including draws in each of the last two seasons.
